Newcastle-upon-Tyne based Rob Heron and his Tea Pad Orchestra have created “North Eastern Swing” – a toe-tappin’ amalgam of swing, blues, gypsy jazz and country music. Their eclectic style has a distinct tang of early 20th century American music with the addition of razor-sharp solos, opulent arrangements and original songs - their music harks back to a golden age whilst staying perfectly modern.
