Sketch Out at Gossington Hall

For the month of May, we’re heading down to the exquisite Gossington Hall (near Slimbridge) home to the Tatham family and the brilliant Cotswold Gardening School.

The site boasts some nine acres of glorious gardens to provide us with colourful, sculptural inspiration for our morning of strolling and sketching.

We’re keeping everything crossed for decent sketching weather but if there’s a deluge, owner and artist Caroline Tatham has offered us use of the hall’s classroom space as shelter for our drawing session.
Artist Rosie-Marie Marshall-Jane leads this morning’s session which allows you to work at your own pace with helpful support and warm encouragement.

Still Life Flowers

Take your acrylic paintings to the next level with exhibiting artist Helen Tarr. The subject of today's workshop will be flowers in a glass vase, with a focus on identifying and mixing colours and tones that will bring your paintings to life. Through discussions, experiments and demonstrations and one-to-one guidance, Helen will ensure you have a rewarding and enjoyable day developing your acrylic painting skills. This workshop will suit beginners and more experienced painters alike. By the end of the day you will have created your own beautiful, still life floral painting to proudly hang on your wall at home.
