30 September 2016 - Welcome to Prema Arts Centre 24 September 2016 - People's String Foundation & Care4Calais Tonight we welcomed the amazing People's String Foundation for a special, stripped-back performance as part of their Care4Calais fundraising tour. Effortlessly transforming their multi-membered festival line up into an intimate duet, Ben and Zaid blended classical, musical theatre and middle eastern influences to create a compelling sound perfect for our unique venue. Their passionate, often virtuosic playing set the stage for a rousing encore. All ticket sales generated from Prema and the band were donated towards Care4Calais. Everyone was headed to the main road to watch the Tour of Britain pass through our normally peaceful village! After countless motorbikes and support vehicles the leading pack raced through, followed a few minutes later by the peloton, both travelling at hair-raising speeds. They went through so quick we didn't manage to get a good photo , but thankfully our neighbour Fritz did, so thanks to him for this one! 1 September 2016 - Exhibitions, Sarah Dennis Our new exhibitions are going up very soon. We have Lea Phillips, Anna Bean and Sarah Dennis. Here's a teaser for Sarah Dennis' beautifully intricate paper cuttings - we have this piece on display so do come and see it in person. 21 July 2016 - Stephen Mottram
Puppeteer extraordinaire Stephen Mottram was so great we just had to get him back - this time with his new show The Parachute. A mesmerising story of youth, love and old-age ensues, stealthily revealing phantom characters that don't exist but our brains create! Get what I mean? See here!
8 July 2016 - Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra - Future Workshops
Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra brought the house down last Friday with their brilliant blend of western swing, country blues and ragtime hokum. Thanks to those who took to the floor to dance along - it made the evening even livelier! In case you missed out there's a short clip below.
In other news we have most of next season's programme sorted - keep your eyes out for an exciting series of food workshops as well as some Christmassy treats!
