Here we have a wonderful opportunity to learn all about foraging wild food with Wild Food UK. The course starts with a short introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes, where they relate to foragers. Then we'll set off on a roughly a 2.5 hour walk, identifying the various different edible and poisonous spring shoots, plants, flowers and maybe even fungi that we find. As we saunter along, we'll stop for some homemade hogweed and wild garlic soup and after the walk we will finish the day with a tasty wild food late lunch made with our foraged bounty. Comprehensive handouts from today will help you to continue foraging throughout the year. Please notify us of any special dietary requirements upon booking (e.g. vegan, nut allergies etc) as we will try to cater for everyone.
