Viktor Tilson

10 Apr - 25 May

Free entry

Viktor Tilson is an abstract artist born in Yateley, Hampshire, who now lives in Gloucestershire. From a young age, he was drawn to the world of abstract art and spent much of his childhood painting and creating complex designs. Though his career took him in a different direction, working in air cargo, finance and retail, Viktor never lost his passion for creating abstract works.

As an untrained artist, he brings a unique perspective to his pieces, making him somewhat of an outsider in the art world. His main source of inspiration comes from music, ranging from rock to classical, and he allows his subconscious to guide the shapes and forms within his paintings. Viktor trusts his instincts and allows his art to evolve, sometimes subconsciously time-stamped by events around him.

He is best known for his "Amalgamation" series, which has gained much popularity among collectors in the UK and internationally.

Viktor has showcased his work online since the late 1990’s. However, this is a rare and exciting opportunity to view his work first-hand and close-up in a public space. Vik’s work is on show in the Vestry Café gallery here at Prema and is available for viewing from Wednesday to Saturday, 9am until 4pm.
