You will be introduced to the basics of candle making and how to blend the perfect fusion of aromas. To add a seasonal spin to this session, you will also be trying your hand at making a long lasting festive reed-diffuser from one of Sophia’s bespoke blends.

Dazzlingly exuberant resident textiles artist Emma Leith began café crochet earlier this year and has already helped to build an industrious and fun-loving community of wool-mad crafters through her fabulous crochet sessions. Hot drinks, cakes and delicious savoury dishes are available to purchase from the Vestry Café, so you can enjoy a tasty treat whilst talking all things crochet and hooking away! Emma’s on hand if you get your threads in a twist or if you’re lacking inspiration and need a new project to get stuck in to. These monthly sessions are perfect for anyone who has already mastered the chain and treble stitch.

Spend a day with the queen of cheese Louise Talbot in our fact-filled workshop which introduces you to the process of turning milk into cheese using basic kitchen equipment and easily sourced, local ingredients. Louise will demonstrate how to make mascarpone and butter before you go on to make your own halloumi and mozzarella, with plenty of additional recipes for you to try out at home.

Today we have a broad range of textiles, ceramics, illustrations, scented goods, prints and plushies all at sensible, affordable prices. Browse at your leisure, pick up some bargains and imbibe in the festive atmosphere. There’s plenty of scrummy hot food and drink available from Vestry Café throughout the day with basrista coffees, hot chocs, opulent pulled-pork rolls with seasonal trimmings, nut roast for veggies and an abundance of cakey-goodness too. Travelling through snowstorms, across oceans and into our hearts, Oolik is not the kind of girl to give up on her quest for help. This morning’s show is performed in “Iglooish” and is suitable for anyone over the age of five and is accessible to Deaf, hearing and non-English speaking audiences.
