Artist Emily Johnson is the creative force behind Lampshade Rebellion, where she transforms old frames into flamboyant, maximal lampshades through the art of upcycling.
Although her full-time job as a driving instructor pays the bills, it's in her spare time that she unleashes her artistic talents on exquisite and highly desirable lampshades.

Rachel McDonnell

Rachel McDonnell studied for her Fine Art Foundation at City and Guilds Art School, before a minor diversion to read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at St Anne’s College, Oxford, sparking various interests which still permeate her work (not so much with the economics). After graduating she returned to her first love: painting.
She is a member of the Walking the Land group of artists, and the RWA’s artist network. Rachel lives near Stroud with her partner and their two children, two dogs, two gerbils, three hens, 5 goldfish and 34 stick insects!

Chris Dye

Originally from Yorkshire, Chris Dye moved to Bristol in 1985 and having completed a Foundation Art Course in the city went on to study Graphic Design at Salisbury College of Art.
He began painting watercolours in 2016 and has developed a strong recognisable style. He likes to use watercolours in a bold, powerful, dynamic way to create impressionistic scenes with a distinctive focus on capturing the light and atmosphere of the subjects. The primary focus of his work is everyday urban and rural landscapes from the Bristol area with a few from travels over the years thrown in.

Suntou Susso

Suntou Susso is a multi-instrumentalist: kora player, percussionist, singer and composer from The Gambia. Born a Griot in the 700-year old tradition of the kora - a harp-lute with 22 strings unique to the Mandinka people.
An in-demand and charismatic performer, he has garnererd much attention throughout from the moment he arrived on the UK's music scene. Suntou joins us this evening for a solo show - a real and rare musical treat for all world music lovers.
