Happenings are a bit like a taster session. They're absolutely perfect for creative individuals with not much spare time to themselves. Our monthly groups, NeedleFelt Narratives and Taste of Creativity ranges all offer a super-affordable night out to learn a new skill, experiment with a new discipline or jump-start a whole new creative passion for you. There's loads to choose from - why not treat yourself and a friend?

Sushi Making

Calling all sushi lovers! Join Erin Baker from the Natural Cookery School for an evening of vegetarian sushi. We will use a variety of fillings to create an array of delicious sushi. As well as the well known maki, we will also make uramaki, temak, nigiri and Erin will demonstrate a show stopping dragon roll. The evening will begin with a demonstration on how to prepare the rice for sushi, then we will move on to tips and shortcuts, hands on sushi making. You can eat or take away everything we make.

An Introduction to Qigong

Qigong is moving meditation and as such improves both mental and physical health. The exercise is suitable for all ages, fitness levels and abilities, as the exercises can be adapted for most situations. This introduction led by Sally Blackman will guide you to focus on the breath, allowing it to help the body to soften, the mind to rest, whilst gently moving. Today’s session will leave you feeling relaxed, energised, calm and fitter.
