Happenings are a bit like a taster session. They're absolutely perfect for creative individuals with not much spare time to themselves. Our monthly groups, NeedleFelt Narratives and Taste of Creativity ranges all offer a super-affordable night out to learn a new skill, experiment with a new discipline or jump-start a whole new creative passion for you. There's loads to choose from - why not treat yourself and a friend?

Say hello to restorative yoga teacher Catherine Forrester. Catherine combines gentle hatha yoga with simple mindfulness meditation to help you to slow down, bringing strength, ease and comfort without impossible poses or complicated philosophy. This one-off taster session is the perfect for those who want to find space, ease and peace as Catherine introduces gentle, flowing movement and short periods of mindful meditation to free the breath and connect us to sensation in the body.

In our second serving of Asparagasm goodness, head chef Lauren Lovatt returns with a medley of mouth-watering sweets, free from gluten, dairy and refined sugars. Lauren will showcase a number of desserts including raw pastries and biscuits, plant-based creams and summer cheesecake, before you move on to make your own lemon posset and nut-free mousse.

Whether you’re a seasoned sketcher looking to share your passion, or a drawing novice daunted by the blank page, Eve has plenty of tips and tricks up her sleeve that will have you sketching away in no time. Bring along your own sketchbook and pencils and enjoy an hour of doodling in the Vestry Café.

Join floral designer Camilla Williams on this summer’s afternoon for a master class in floral design. Use Camilla’s extensive knowledge of plants to create a number of small or one large bouquet and a set of striking buttonholes. A variety of pre-bought flowers and foraged cut offs will be available on the day but to make your bouquets truly bespoke feel free to bring along any interesting cuttings, dried flowers, berries and herbs from your garden to transform into a colourful creation.
