For June, we’re heading over to the glorious Stratford Park in Stroud to busy ourselves throughout the park, especially focusing on the arboretum and the impressive variety of tree specimens on site for drawing inspiration. For an additional drawing challenge we’ll head down to the lake, urging us to take a quite different approach to making our mark.

Our monthly sketching sessions are about experiment and exploration, making a mark and bringing along a can-do approach to drawing. As always, the ever-brilliant Rosie-Marie Marshall-Jane leads our morning’s session, allowing you to work at your own pace with generous support and gentle encouragement.
For July, we’re heading down to the comparative lowlands at Slimbridge. The village of Slimbridge meanders its way down towards the Severn estuary, crossing the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal on the way. This morning, we’ll be dismounting our horses at the bridge and wandering along the towpath, using the long stretches of waterway to help us explore perspective drawing as well as featuring the barges and boats we meet along the way.
