For the month of May, we’re heading down to the exquisite Gossington Hall (near Slimbridge) home to the Tatham family and the brilliant Cotswold Gardening School.

The site boasts some nine acres of glorious gardens to provide us with colourful, sculptural inspiration for our morning of strolling and sketching. We anticipate that you’ll want to bring along materials to bring bold colour into your sketches this month to really make the most of this rare opportunity to access Gossington’s truly remarkable garden spaces.

We’re keeping everything crossed for decent sketching weather but if there’s a deluge, owner and artist Caroline Tatham has offered us use of the hall’s classroom space as shelter for our drawing session.
Artist Rosie-Marie Marshall-Jane leads this morning’s session which allows you to work at your own pace with helpful support and warm encouragement.

Sketch Out is all about making your mark in the great outdoors, surrounded by visual inspiration and a posse of eager sketchers and strollers.

There’s absolutely no need for loads of prior experience - Sketch Out is all about experiment and exploration, making a mark and bringing along a can-do approach to drawing. You’ll love it - book now to avoid disappointment.
