Molly Lemon is a printmaker who works from her studio here at Prema as one of our brilliant team of artists in residence. In 2015 she graduated from Winchester School of Art with a degree in fine art. Specialising in the traditional printmaking technique of wood engraving her work is driven by a fascination with British wildlife and natural forms in the landscape.
Having grown up on the edge of Dartmoor, this need to recreate nature in her artwork has always been present. Concerned with conservation and global warming Molly aims for her prints to reflect both the sheer beauty and increasing vulnerability of the plants and animals with whom we share this planet.
Her work is absolutely full of detail and joy. When looking closely at her work, you'll be transported into an opulent, miniature world of beauty and exquisite detail. We're thrilled that Molly will be showing in Vestry Cafe this autumn - she can often be found busily working on a great new piece in her ground floor studio (with the wonderful Winnie - her trusted canine companion for company). Why not pop in to say hello during your visit.
