Prema is a family friendly Arts Centre, promoting performance, live music and art exhibitions as well as accessible workshops, classes and creative experiences for kids and adults.
Prema, near Dursley in the Stroud valleys, offers an affordable day out for all folk in the South West.
Our workshops are one-off events, rarely repeated so snaffle away while we still have places. We try to offer a really broad range of participatory and learning sessions, some over a full day and a handful of half-day happenings. All artists leading Prema workshops are at the forefront of their creative practice as well as seasoned and experienced facilitators.

Sketch Out at the Slimbridge Canal
£8 • Friends £6
Our monthly sketching sessions are about experiment and exploration, making a mark and bringing along a can-do approach to drawing. As always, the ever-brilliant Rosie-Marie Marshall-Jane leads our morning’s session, allowing you to work at your own pace with generous support and gentle encouragement.
For July, we’re heading down to the comparative lowlands at Slimbridge. The village of Slimbridge meanders its way down towards the Severn estuary, crossing the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal on the way. This morning, we’ll be dismounting our horses at the bridge and wandering along the towpath, using the long stretches of waterway to help us explore perspective drawing as well as featuring the barges and boats we meet along the way.
